The human body is weird — very, very weird.

We’re exploring those quirks in a new STAT video series, Boddities. We’ll chase down answers to all your questions, curious or common: How, exactly, are taste and smell connected? For the first episode, we take aim at the conventional wisdom that drinking soda can settle an upset stomach. There’s something about a lemon-lime soda that harkens back to spending the day home from school, stocked up on saltine crackers with your feet propped up on the couch watching “The Price is Right.”
