AUSTIN, Texas — Texas could be the epicenter for the nation’s next major fight over stricter requirements for immunizations as rates of schoolchildren who refuse shots for non-medical reasons climb in America’s second-largest state.
The number of Texas kindergarten through 12th grade students who reported filing conscientious exemptions for at least one immunization last school year increased 19-fold since 2003 — though that is still less than 1 percent of enrolled students, according to the Immunization Partnership, a pro-vaccination Texas nonprofit. Texas requires parents to approve immunizations, rather than mandating shots and having families opt out if they object to them.
If they can mandate that pregnant women must watch videos about the development of fetuses & alleged harmful effects of abortion to the women, eg higher risks of cancer, then all these anti-vaccine parents should also have to watch videos about the diseases’ consequences for unvaccinated children, eg kids dying of diphtheria or malaria.
If the State cannot guarantee that vaccines do no harm, then mandating healthy children must have them in order to appease those who choose to vaccinate is asinine and beyond irresponsible.
Either vaccines work as intended, in which case, parent’s of vaccinated children have nothing to fear from those who choose not to do so. Or, vaccines don’t protect children from the diseases they are supposed to inoculate against, so why on earth continue to take them? Supplementing the body’s natural immune system is one thing, trying to artificially subvert it is an entirely different story.
Big Business loves state mandates that fill their coffers.
The President-elect is not anti-vaccine. Vaccine injury is on the rise. He is listening to vaccine-injured adults and parents of vaccine-injured children who are brave enough to raise the alarm. Their voices need to be heard. Vaccines come with serious health risks AND SHOULD ALWAYS BE A CHOICE.
The science of autism is not settled. How does one account for the exponential rise in ASD rates in the last decades? The current ASD rate is 1:60; in the 1990s it was 1:1000, before the 1960s it was 1:10000. Interestingly the rise in ASD rates parallels the enactment of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act in 1986. The Act absolves pharmaceutical companies from being sued in the event of vaccine injury. Pharmaceutical companies in collusion with the CDC keep pushing more and more vaccines on the population.
I’m 61 years old and have never took a vaccine and am healthy as a horse. I also don’t take any medicine. I believe all that stuff just weakens people. The last thing I took was 30 years ago. I’ve been healthier since that day.
