O’Neill supporters push back against criticism that he’s unfit to lead FDA

WASHINGTON — Former colleagues and business associates of financier Jim O’Neill, a leading contender to head the FDA under President-elect Trump, are pushing back against caricatures of him as a dangerous radical.

One former colleague called O’Neill a brainy guy who would fit well into a Trump administration.
