Government bureaucrats are not often Twitter celebrities. But Andy Slavitt, head of the agency that runs Medicare and Medicaid, is making a name for himself with a barrage of fiery tweets in defense of the Affordable Care Act, breaking with the traditionally mute posture taken by federal employees.
As the Act — known as Obamacare — is coming under attack by the new Republican-controlled Congress and incoming Trump administration, Slavitt, acting administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, isn’t being shy online.
Funny how a person can go from High-Paid Corporate Guy whose former company was fined for taking advantage of doctors and patients to Public Servant-Defender of the Average Joe.
And watch now what happens with Andy over the next few months and year. $500 to a worthy charity says he’ll be back in some lofty, high-paying position in the private sector devising schemes to squeeze money out of doctors and patients. Public servant? Made sacrifices to serve others? Pffft!
Seems to me, Andy is working hard to hell the average person and am you can do is try to pretend he is a bad guy…
ACA. Is saving lives, the GOP only want to get rid of it because it has Obama all over it.. It fact ACA is mostly a Republican plan, they just can not get past the Dems being the ones who brought the plan forward..
