WASHINGTON — Republicans delayed indefinitely planned Senate committee votes on President Donald Trump’s picks to be Health and Treasury secretaries on Tuesday after Democrats boycotted the session and demanded more information on the two nominees’ past financial behavior.
The extraordinary and abrupt postponement came as congressional Democrats, in a confrontational mood over Trump administration actions, also used lengthy speeches at a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting considering Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) to be attorney general.
Difficult as it may be for a parent of a newborn, I propose that all babies that would have otherwise been aborted, be delivered to the door steps of the Supreme Court, or the Capitol building, or the steps to all churches that endorse the policy of forcing women to have unwanted children. Any child so delivered will become the care recipient of the institution where the child was delivered. That chosen caregiver will then be required to provide room, board and education through college for the child and be required to do so from the personal funds of the caregiver. Any child recipient that refuses or simply does not provide the necessary child rearing services shall be summarily euthanized as an inhuman being. Case closed.
