Scientists are eager to weigh in on potential picks to head the Food and Drug Administration under President Trump.
But it’s not clear if the White House wants to listen.
“As part of our outreach to the president, we’ve offered to help him vet people if he wants — vetting them on his terms,” Rush Holt, chief executive of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, said at a STAT lunch on Wednesday. “There’s been no response.”
