he Trump administration has named Michael Kratsios, an associate of Silicon Valley financier Peter Thiel, as deputy chief technology officer for the White House, POLITICO reported Friday.

Kratsios is the chief of staff at Thiel Capital LLC, according to his LinkedIn profile. Thiel has been serving as an informal adviser to President Trump on technology policy throughout the transition.
