The American Health Care Act (sometimes referred to as Trumpcare) was released to the public on March 6, 2017. It represents efforts by the Republican Party to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as the ACA or Obamacare. The American Health Care Act is a draft bill that combines recommendations that were passed by the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee on March 9, 2017.
