WASHINGTON — President Trump paints a rosy picture of an improved Department of Veterans Affairs under his watch, where accessing electronic medical records is “so easy and so good” and health care is freely available without any delays.
The problem: It’s not true.
Factcheck: Do Trump’s bold claims about the White House’s promised veterans complaint line, namely, to “collect, process and respond to the complaints of individual veterans in a responsive, timely and accountable manner,” hold up? Not for this veteran! No response yet (7/28/17) to his 6/1/17 call, and their assurance they’d get back to him “within 14 days.”
