Dr. Atul Gawande is set to become the chief executive of a new health care company being formed by Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan Chase.
The company, which has yet to be named, is being launched with lofty ambitions: to find innovative ways to improve health care for employees of the three companies. But its founders have hinted that company-wide solutions could help find solutions to problems across the entire U.S. health system.
