PARIS — “The story? Sure, I can tell you the story,” says Abdelaali El Badaoui, a newly minted health tech entrepreneur. He leans back in his chair, remembering. Pops a few gummy candies in his mouth. Then he begins.
When he was about 7, he says, he tipped a pot of boiling water onto himself, scalding much of his chest, arms, and back. At first, he was too shocked to cry. He remembers the first responders peeling off his soaked shirt and watching his skin come off with it.
