Eince the virus that causes Covid-19 started spreading nationwide, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative — the philanthropic vehicle launched by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his spouse, pediatrician Priscilla Chan — has shelled out $67 million in grants and funding for research to fight the pandemic.
That funding has gone toward several key areas, including testing efforts, viral sequencing work, and therapeutics research.
