To many, it may come as a surprise that thousands of babies a year still die suddenly and unexpectedly, with no apparent explanation. There are many misconceptions surrounding these cases, which contribute to the isolation and self-blame of bereaved parents. Join STAT on April 5 for an online chat with Dr. Richard Goldstein and Dr. Sue Morris of Robert’s Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, who will take apart these myths. They’ll answer questions about the risk factors and biological anomalies that may play a role, and how best to support families in such cases.

Apr. 5, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
