This time around, we note that Gilead Sciences promoted John Milligan to chief executive as John Martin becomes executive chairman. Martin joined the drug maker in 1990 and became CEO in 1996. Milligan joined Gilead at the same time and was named chief operating officer in 2007 and president in 2008.
