This time around, we note that Pfizer hired Dr. John Davis as senior vice president and head of early clinical development. Previously, he worked at Baxalta, where he was vice president of clinical research and development, and global therapeutic head of immunology.

Gilead Sciences promoted James Meyers to executive vice president, worldwide commercial operations;

GlaxoSmithKline named Herve Gisserot as head of pharmaceuticals in the Asia/Pacific region;

GlaxoSmithKline named Thomas Willemsen as general manager for pharmaceuticals and vaccines in China;

Rigontec hired Jörg Vollmer as chief scientific officer;

Cocoon Biotech hired Dr. Steve Myers as chief medical officer;

PhRMA named Robert Zirkelbach as executive vice president of public affairs;

Nuvo Pharmaceuticals named Jesse Ledger as president;

Applied Genetic Technologies hired Dr. Michael Goldstein as chief medical officer;

Calimmune hired Dr. Salim Yazji as executive vice president and chief medical officer;

Asterias Biotherapeutics named general counsel Ryan Chavez chief financial officer as well;
