This time around, we note that Avanir Pharmaceuticals hired Dr. Richard Malamut as senior vice president, R&D, and chief medical officer. Previously, he was senior vice president of global clinical development at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, and has also worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca and Shire Pharmaceutical.

Hi Ed. Your graphic showing the two ladders with the capsules cascading down one of the ladders has a very significant hidden meaning. Specifically, it was told to me by a mentor early in my career: “Be kind to those who you meet on your way up the ladder; you may meet those same people on your way down”.
