Mylan Pharmaceuticals is in the process of cutting nearly 10 percent of its 35,000-person global workforce, a spokeswoman confirms. She noted that the cuts have already been underway and pointed to recent acquisitions as one explanation, but refused to provide details. The drug maker is struggling in the face of pricing pressures for its generics business and mired in controversy over pricing of its EpiPen device.
