Talk about an anticlimactic move.

After a five-month search, Biogen tapped Michel Vounatsos as the new chief executive officer to succeed George Scangos, who announced in July he would retire after leading the biotech since 2010. A 20-year Merck veteran, Vounatsos joined Biogen last spring as chief commercial officer.
