As drug prices have accelerated in recent years, tens of millions of generally law-abiding Americans have in turn committed an illegal act: They have purchased prescriptions outside the US and imported them, Kaiser Health News informs us. A recent poll found that 8 percent of respondents said they or someone in their household had imported a drug at some point, a figure that would translate to about 19 million adults in the US.
