Drug makers selling opioid painkillers hired at least 42 officials from the US Drug Enforcement Administration as the agency began cracking down on companies that were distributing an inordinate numbers of pills, such as oxycodone, to pain-management clinics and pharmacies around the country, The Washington Post reports. And 31 of those people came directly from the division responsible for regulating the industry.
