The new GlaxoSmithKline chief executive officer Emma Walmsley, who starts April 1, won a short-term reprieve from the threat of generic Advair after the Food and Drug Administration declined to approve a copycat version from Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Reuters informs us. It remains unclear how long Mylan will have to wait to get its version of the asthma and chronic lung disease medicine on the market.
