Sanofi-Pasteur agreed to pay $19.9 million to resolve claims that it incorrectly calculated prices and overcharged the Department of Veterans Affairs for drugs under two contracts between 2002 and 2011. Under federal law, drug makers may not charge the VA more than a maximum amount for covered drugs. Sanofi Pasteur, the Sanofi vaccine unit, disclosed to the VA that it incorrectly calculated the maximum price for certain drugs.
