Alexion Pharmaceutical offices in Brazil were raided by authorities as part of an investigation into its sales practices, Bloomberg News reports. Police are investigating whether Alexion, with help from a local patient association, subsidized lawsuits for patients to get access to its Soliris drug through the national health system. Authorities found evidence some lawsuits were fraudulent and used allegedly fake diagnoses to attract potential patients.
