Former FDA commissioner Robert Califf believes that drug makers and health care marketers should create a code of ethics to promote truthful and non-misleading uses of medicines for off-label promotion, Medical Marketing & Media says. “I haven’t seen a whole lot of good come from real off-label promotion,” he explained. “Companies are just going to advertise their experiences, and you can look at 100 experiences and pick five that look good.”
