Hello, everyone, and nice to see you again. Our extended break came and went rather quickly, but they always do, yes? This means, of course, that we are confronting that relentless mix of deadlines, meetings, and the like. To cope, as always, we are relying on some cups of stimulation — French Vanilla, if you must know — and invite you to join us. Remember, no prescription is required. Meanwhile, here are some tidbits. Have a great day and do stay in touch …
A California bill aimed at providing transparency into prescription drug pricing moved a step closer to reality on Tuesday when the state Senate voted 26-to-10 to approve the legislation. The bill would require drug makers to notify state officials about planned price hikes and also justify those increases. The legislation would also require health plans to provide detailed information about drug costs and the portion of premiums attributed to this expense. The bill now goes to the Assembly health committee.
