The Food and Drug Administration fired back at Amgen over a lawsuit the drug maker filed in which it alleged the agency denied a marketing incentive for studying one of its medicines for children. In a court filing, the FDA argued that Amgen, which was required to run four studies in exchange for pediatric exclusivity, failed to complete a “critical safety study in the youngest, most vulnerable patients.”
