The Food and Drug Administration plans new hiring and recruitment procedures for its drugs and biologics programs, according to Regulatory Focus. FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb noted the agency is struggling to fill positions. The Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, for instance, had 709 vacancies as of May 2017, which was nearly the same amount as in September 2016.
