Amerisource Bergen (ABC) agreed to pay $260 million to resolve criminal charges of distributing cancer drugs from a facility that was not registered with the Food and Drug Administration. The wholesaler removed the drugs from vials and repackaged them in plastic syringes that contained particles of foreign matter, but told customers the products met purity standards, according to the feds (here is the plea agreement and misdemeanor information).
