And so, another working week will soon draw to a close. Not a moment too soon, yes? This is, as you know, our treasured signal to daydream about weekend plans and we are optimistic about our agenda. We are taking in another installment in our “Let’s-see-them-before-they-die” concert series and plan to take the short person in search of the Great Pumpkin. We will, of course, also take some naps. But what about you? Those of you with yards could get some exercise by raking leaves or, if you prefer, ignore the mess and take a drive to watch the leaves fall elsewhere. Any distraction from the current state of affairs may be a good thing. Well, whatever you do, have a grand time. But be safe. Enjoy, and see you soon …

The Ontario government is investigating allegations that Teva Pharmaceuticals (TEVA) offered pharmacies “illegal” payments to stock its opioid medications fentanyl and oxycodone, The Toronto Star reports. The newspaper obtained emails showing a Teva corporate accounts manager offering to pay an Ontario pharmacy group a rate of 15 percent of the drug price if it stocked the prescription opioids.
