The Philippine government believes that the Sanofi (SNY) dengue vaccine may be connected to three deaths in the country, The Asahi Shimbun writes. Sanofi revealed in November that Dengvaxia, the world’s first dengue vaccine, might increase the risk of severe disease in people who had never been exposed to the virus. Some experts believe at least one other vaccine, which is being developed by Takeda Pharmaceuticals (TKPYY), may see a similar problem when results of its ongoing, eight-country Phase 3 trial are available, STAT explains.
