The curious relationship between one of the world’s biggest drug makers and President Trump’s personal lawyer began early last year when Michael Cohen, a longtime fixer for the president, reached out to Novartis’s then-chief executive officer Joe Jimenez, promising help gaining access to Trump and influential officials in the new administration, according to an employee inside Novartis familiar with the matter.

Jimenez took the call and then instructed his team to reach a deal with Cohen. A one-year contract worth $1.2 million was signed with Cohen in February 2017. The company’s hope was that Cohen could help it navigate a bevy of uncertain issues facing the drug maker — from potential changes to the Affordable Care Act and tax reform to navigating reimbursement challenges for medicines.

  • It does not look as if anyone in the Industry, or any of those “Healthcare Corporation is looking at how all of this corruption is effecting the health of Americans. Pharma advertising is non stop on TV, and other media outlets. The old rules have changed, we can no longer trust any of the agencies that were supposed to protect us all. It is highly doubtful our complicit media will cover the deaths and damage from drug company corruption, food borne illnesses, and worker injuries, all on the rise. In the U.S corruption and profit are the only reliable constants. These drug companies even clean up their image by removing content they don’t like from search engines.

  • Novartis just had a drug for Psoriasis come out on the market a couple of years ago. I was part of their clinical trial. I ended up in the hospital for a month with the worst case of ulcerative colitis they had every seen, even though I never had colitis before. My reaction and a few others reacted with similar problems, yet this new drug was approved! I always wondered who they paid off.

  • So, uh, when can I finally expect to see a single check in the mail from all those millions of good people humming “money can’t buy me love, all you need is love” and professing to love unconditionally?
Oh, that’s right – unlike all those greedy corporations, the good people all gave the maximum amount of taxes they could to the IRS. So that it can better fund the inner-city soup kitchens they volunteer in on weekends.

  • I want to see every bit of graft that Michael Cohen and Donald Trump have concealed from the federal government and the public. These two petulant, corrupt, greedy men have asked for it, and it shall be delivered.
Serve them their hubris fried to a crisp.

  • “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Just thought I’d point out that “bribery” is one of only two things that the Constitution says are reasons to impeach.

  • All of you guys are crooks ,everyone Donald Trump comes into contact with have broken the law more then once all for money and these are the people who are making our country look very bad to the rest of the world , Trump and his buddy’s embarrass our free nation USA.

    • Ah, Catherine Carillo, skipping President Bush #2 from the list spiked your guns even before you fired your “8 years of terror” canard. I doubt you will accept any information that doesn’t already fit you view. To quote Mr Trump, “sad!”

  • LMAO, NO COLLUSION. How many arrests, indictments and ‘interviews’ by mueller will it take you to realize he is a con, 1st and foremost? He has directed billions to his circle. His tax Law was for the top 1% and his cronies who voted for it are sorry they lied. You hate women/hispanics/African Americans that much? One last question: do you call yourself a christian?
