The Council for Affordable Health Coverage, which represents insurers, employers, pharmacy benefit managers and drug makers, asked the Trump administration to stop its research into importing certain prescription drugs from foreign countries, The Hill tells us. The coalition wants the Food and Drug Administration to disband an agency group examining drug importation. The Trump administration first announced the working group over the summer and is looking at limited importation of drugs with a dramatic price increase that are not protected by patents or exclusivity.
