And so, another working week will soon draw to a close. Not a moment too soon, yes? This is, you may recall, our treasured signal to daydream about weekend plans. Once again, our agenda is rather modest. Other than helping our shortest person become acclimated in our driving machine, we hope to catch up on our reading and spend time with Mrs. Pharmalot. And what about you? We are nearing a year-end break, so best to make getaway plans now. You could do something mundane like winterize your castle. Enjoy, and see you soon …

Four former employees and an owner of the New England Compounding Center that was responsible for a nationwide fungal meningitis outbreak that killed 76 people and sickened hundreds were convicted on charges including mail fraud and conspiracy to defraud the U.S., the Associated Press writes. The defendants were among 14 people charged in 2014 following an investigation into the outbreak, which sickened almost 800 people and is considered the worst public health crisis in recent U.S. history. • Between 1999-2003 I was prescribed a large amount of oxycontin up to 120mg 2x a day i was tottally unaware that in 2003 i would have to have a pacemaker installed for bradycardia, I also suffered much recovering. A couple years ago I was prescribed oxycodone, I was told it wasn’t near as strong and I thought they had made this somehow better or more workable, thinking the old way of oxycontin was improved, safer way to use it. I was totally wrong! I have been taking it close to three years now, I felt strongly that if I didn’t stop it would kill me. October 2018 I stopped using them (my choice) I became terribly sick and afraid. I am now taking Suboxone, it does help with the mess I was once again in. I am not sure how long or if I will ever become well again it’s been 15 years now I’ve been using a pacemaker I’m not sure of my life to come, im not to healthy because of the road addiction took me down, I was only in my 30s when this all began, the use of oxycontin I thought was safe, given to me by physicians who never warned me that drug was any different that any other pain killer! I feel devastated. I feel it took my life away.
