After months of consideration, Louisiana officials are proceeding with plans for a “Netflix” payment model for obtaining hepatitis C treatments at an affordable price, STAT says. The state is seeking drug makers willing to supply treatments in return for subscription-based payments over five years for unlimited access to medication for anyone who is enrolled in the state Medicaid program or incarcerated in a state prison.
