A former Pfizer (PFE) flight attendant who was fired over her religious beliefs won a legal battle when a state appeals court decided she did not waive her right to sue the drug maker for wrongful termination.

Amy Skuse maintained that she was fired in 2017 because she refused to receive a yellow fever vaccine that she argued went against her religious beliefs as a Buddhist because the vaccine contains “animal-derived ingredients,” according to court documents. Skuse had worked at a Pfizer airport facility in West Trenton, N.J., since 2012.
