Good morning, everyone, and nice to see you again. We have returned from a week-long respite, during which we deposited our shortest person for the first time at an institution of higher learning and otherwise lazed about. Now, though, the time has come to resume the usual daily routines. So the coffee kettle is fired up for a few cups of stimulation. Contaminants were found in Moderna (MRNA) Covid-19 vaccines at a large-scale vaccination center in Japan’s Okinawa prefecture, prompting a suspension of inoculations, Reuters writes. The vaccines are from different Moderna lots than ones already suspended by the Japanese government due to reports of contamination. Takeda Pharmaceutical (TAK), the domestic distributor for the vaccines, is expected to investigate the possibility of contamination during production and hold talks with Japan’s health ministry. Two people reportedly died after receiving the shots.
