This time around, we note that Kronos Bio (KRON) hired Elizabeth Olek as senior vice president, clinical development. Previously, she worked at Eli Lilly (LLY), where she was executive medical director at Loxo oncology unit.
But all work and no play can make for a dull senior vice president of clinical development. So in her spare time, Olek enjoys hiking in the Marin Headlands across from San Francisco. “I try to go a couple of times a week. It’s clears your brain and you can look at the ocean. It’s an amazing area with rugged terrain and cliffs overlooking the ocean and beaches you can only reach by going down rocks. It enriches me in a way that’s meditative and allows the reflection you need to put things in perspective.”
