And here is our regular feature in which we highlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that Nuvig Therapeutics hired Joanne Quan as chief medical officer. Previously, she worked at Modis Therapeutics and Eiger Biopharmaceuticals, among others.
But all work and no play can make for a dull chief medical officer. So in her spare time, Quan likes to go mountain biking at least once a week. “There are lots of places in the Bay area” to bike, she tells us. “During the pandemic, things were closed, so it was a great way to get out and get some exercise. There are mountainous areas with trees. It’s like taking a hike, but the scenery goes by faster. And it’s fun to navigate certain spaces on a bike. It ticks a few boxes — it gets me outside and keeps me focused on something different.”
