Brittany Flaherty

Brittany Flaherty was a summer intern for STAT and a reporter covering biomedicine, public health, and environmental science. She previously completed internships with PBS's NOVA and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also wrote about cancer research for six years for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Brittany earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental studies from William Smith College, spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of British Columbia, and earned a master’s degree in science writing from MIT. She dedicates her spare time to running along the Charles River, teaching yoga, and trying every flavor of ice cream in Boston.
