Catherine Caruso was a news reporting intern at STAT. Before coming to STAT, she spent several years trying to keep thousands of fish alive while earning a master’s degree in aquaculture at the University of New Hampshire. She also has a master’s degree in science writing from MIT, and has previously written for Scientific American and MIT Technology Review. In her free time Catherine enjoys rock climbing, drinking iced coffee in inappropriate weather, and running up and down a soccer field.
