Elie Dolgin, a former news editor at STAT, swapped worms for words. He studied nematodes for his PhD at the University of Edinburgh, before working as an associate editor at The Scientist and as a senior news editor at Nature Medicine. Elie’s writing has appeared in Discover, Scientific American, Nautilus, Tablet Magazine, and elsewhere. He once tried out for the Israeli national curling team.
