Jacquelyn Corley is a former intern at STAT. She is also a neurosurgery resident at Duke University Medical Center, research fellow at the Harvard Program in Global Surgery and Social Change, and co-founder of the Gender Equity Initiative in Global Surgery. She enjoys writing about health care and has previously been published in major media outlets, including Newsweek, CNN, and Forbes. She is a chocolate enthusiast, pit bull advocate, and former backyard home run derby champion.
