Lindzi Wessel was a summer intern hailing from Santa Cruz, California, where she recently completed a graduate program in science communication. Before turning her sights on journalism, she studied the mind, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in neuroscience from UC Davis. She has written about health and medical sciences for outlets including the San Jose Mercury News, Science, and the Salinas Californian. Lindzi is a traveler who enjoys spending time outdoors and in the presence of dogs whenever possible.
