Stephanie Simon was a managing editor at STAT. She spent most of her career as a national reporter for the Los Angeles Times, covering issues such as the abortion wars and school violence. Stephanie graduated from Yale University with a degree in English but spent most of her time in college on the Housatonic River, rowing for the women's crew team. She and her husband have three wonderful and inquisitive kids and a dog who really, really loves to chase squirrels.
