Rhea Boyd

Pediatrician, public health advocate, and scholar

Boyd, a pediatrician, is a tireless advocate for children’s health, especially when it comes to providing a voice for marginalized communities. She studies, writes, and teaches about the health impacts of harmful policing and child poverty, and helped the Academic Pediatric Association develop a national child poverty curriculum. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Boyd helped develop a national campaign for Black, Latinx, and Spanish-speaking communities to provide answers about Covid vaccines. The campaign’s website has been viewed more than 100 million times.
